The average streaming video movie has made $2.7 million at the box office, according to data from BoxOffice.com, a website that aggregates data from media companies.
Netflix, Amazon and Hulu are the top-grossing streaming video services in the United States.
The top five grossing movies on Amazon are “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” with $2 million, “The Martian” with about $1 million and “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” with more than $1.4 million.
The average Netflix movie has earned $2,066 per movie at the domestic box office since March, BoxOffice said.
Hulu is No. 4, making $1,867 per movie.
