Posted October 20, 2018 12:09:25 A 28-year-old man from Victoria is on Australia’s Federal Police’s Fugitive Man Fugitive List and is wanted by police in Queensland after allegedly posting photos of his genitals and then threatening to kill her.
Queensland Police said the man, identified as Daniel C. Dickson, allegedly posted pictures of himself on the social networking site Facebook and Twitter on September 23, 2017.
He allegedly threatened to harm his ex, who is still living in his apartment, and posted several disturbing images of her.
One photo shows Dickson standing naked on a bed and another shows him sitting on a toilet, the police said.
Dickson was arrested in Brisbane on September 29 and charged with a string of offences including: assaulting a police officer, possession of a prohibited weapon and criminal damage.
He was remanded in custody.
Detective Inspector Michael Cockerill said Dickson was wanted for a series of offences in the Sunshine State and would face court in Queensland when he appeared in Darwin today.
Mr Cockeril said he had been assisting Queensland Police with their Fugitive Fugitive Taskforce since September 23.
“Daniel C. has not been able to return to Victoria and we are looking at a number of options,” he said.
“We know that he is wanted for serious offences in both Victoria and Queensland, so we are currently working with Queensland Police to see if there is any option that can provide the best outcome for Daniel’s wellbeing.”
Queenland Police have issued a media release outlining their Fugitives Fugitive taskforce.
They said the group has received assistance from the Queensland Police Service.
Police said the photos in question were taken by Mr Dickson when he was in Brisbane, but he did not delete them, or delete the post, as the police allege.
“He has not deleted the images and he has not threatened to post them on social media,” Det Sgt Cockerils said.
Police said he posted them online because he believed they were of “public concern” and did not want his ex to “know how he is being treated”.
“He posted the images on social networking sites, and then he sent them to his ex in Brisbane,” Det Sergeant Cockerills said.
“He said, ‘You better go through hell and get the hell out of here, I’ve got a gun to your head.'”
The man allegedly threatened his ex with his gun on August 15, 2017, and threatened to shoot her in the head when she confronted him about it, the ABC reported.
Det Sgt Cooterills said he would be interested in speaking to the man to determine if the threats were genuine.
‘I don’t think he knows how to do that’Det Sgt. Cockerillas said the woman is still concerned about her safety.
She has not contacted him since August 15 and said she did not think he was aware of the threats.
